The cruiser class starship is quite a bit larger than the [[Frigate]] or [[Destroyer]] class. It is the most common command ship of the fleet, taking the lead position on many small fleets across the known galaxy. The next class up, the [[Battlecruiser]] is far less common but also much more capable.
