====== Obscurity: spending ======

When you are asked to spend fortune in the game, you sigh and place the coin into a stack in front of you. This stack is known as expended fortune. The next [[obscurity:break]] in play will allow you to regain some or all of it, depending on how much was expended. See the [[obscurity:break]] rules for how this works. If you expend all your fortune, you don't face a crisis but you do have an [[obscurity:moment]]. The other ways you can use fortune are to [[surrender]] and [[invest]] it.
