Wangarten goes aside with Mai, and admits he needs any drained crystals she has so he can refill them (the crystals apparently being rare). Mai admits she's been eating them, which exasperates Wangarten, who tells her that's unnecessary. He says that getting more is hard now, because the Fae are tense for some reason (which is Mai). Mai mentions meeting Viktoria, and Wangarten is surprised she's not still on the moon. As these things go on, an empathically buzzy feeling thing is occurring in the background, faint but growing. Wangarten admits that he can't feel it, that it's a human thing. And that elves can't live off of feelings of human joy or the like. | As these things go on, an empathically buzzy feeling thing is occurring in the background, faint but growing.
