Alalit is a relatively prosperous (no place in the Gamma World is truly prosperous) community that is run by the priests of the Pylon God known as CAM, who other Followers of the Voice claim is a dead god. It sits upon Horse Bay, and it's main source of food are products brought out of the bay by intrepid fishermen who have to deal with the many menaces that come up from the depths.

Arriving in the evening at Alalit, between the black bog, the bridge, and the town proper: Tank dug up from the black bog by Digger later, containing toxic waste: View of the ancient bridge that leads away from Alalit to the Penisula proper, across the estuary of the toxic river that leads into Horse Bay beyond, as seen from the base of the cliffs below Alalit, near the hidden entrance to the Holy Temple of Cam. A pod of obbs takes flight from the bridge.
